Student placement scheme
This is a one year sandwich placement suitable for students on a mathematics or statistics (or related subject) degree programme, for which we have around four places each year.

From the moment you join our analytical services team, you will play an active and central role in live projects. For example, you could find yourself investigating the results of student satisfaction surveys, investigating the careers of recent graduates, or ensuring the data we use in funding is fit for purpose. As the team is responsible for defining, collecting and analysing data, as well as developing funding models, your work will be varied, challenging and immensely rewarding. So much so, in fact, that many of our sandwich students have come back to work with us once they have completed their studies.
Whilst you should be studying towards a mathematical/statistical or another highly numerate degree, with experience of data analysis and computer programming, we'll give you the training you need to improve your programming and data analysis skills. This will include use of SAS, a well-known statistical software package widely used for data management and statistical analyses in a variety of business environments including government, banking, pharmaceuticals and market research. We'll also make every effort to tailor your work to fit in with your academic interests and skills.
